Around the cités universitaires

Let us wander around the university campus, taking in buildings by Fernand Pouillon and René Egger, and finding respite in a city within a city, where the passing of time and neo-classical, regional and modern influences can be seen. This trend is set to continue, with a vast regeneration project set to change the face of the city once more.

Variations on the Faculty

Although located at a distance from the other faculties, this building, closer to Robert Schuman Avenue, remains congruent with the campus by reflecting the Faculty of Letters and Social Sciences' architectural vocabulary. This square-based monolith, punctuated by 1.75-meter-wide spans, makes a statement by its sheer size and harmonious proportions. The interior opens up on a double-height hall housing the lecture halls articulated around the atrium.
